Part II: The Great Sea from Imperia (4 Days) July 9th to 12th
The journey continues towards the Riviera dei Fiori. Awaiting you at the port of Santo Stefano al Mare (Imperia) will be Aldebaran, a 16-meter sailboat, your floating home for the remaining four nights.
• Exclusive Navigation: Let the waves rock you as the Ligurian and Azure coast reveals its colorful villages from a privileged perspective.
• Freedom and Relaxation: Stops at anchor in coves, sunset aperitifs on deck, and the pleasure of waking up each morning in a different bay, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and deep blue waters.
The Experience: ALDEBARAN is much more than a sailboat: it is a 15-meter floating refuge, where every detail has been designed to provide unforgettable moments. An elegant teak cockpit welcomes guests, while the carefully designed layout offers a perfect balance between relaxation and conviviality.

Life on Board
All participants are expected to contribute to daily chores, such as shopping, cooking, washing dishes, and cleaning their cabin and common areas; all in harmony and generally without the need for "leadership." The boat's limited space makes team spirit and adaptability essential, but this fosters a sense of camaraderie and a friendly atmosphere. Accommodations on board are in small double cabins.
A Typical Day
Generally speaking, if the distance allows, we sail for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon, stopping at anchor for lunch and relaxation. In other cases, if the route is longer or between islands, we sail from morning to afternoon and have lunch while sailing. In the evening, we preferably stop at anchor: nothing is more evocative than an aperitif in the bay at sunset, the spectacle of a starry sky, or a dip in the water upon awakening in the morning! A night in port is often spent midweek, usually in a picturesque location worth visiting. The boats are equipped with tenders and stand-up paddleboards, allowing you to go ashore even if you're anchored.
Itineraries
Each initiative has its own outline program. In the event of unforeseen weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, the skipper may decide to change the original program at his or her sole discretion.
Common Fund
A common fund will be set up on board each boat by all participants, managed by a volunteer. The skipper is not required to pay the fee. The common fund will cover all expenses for food, port charges, water supplies, and fuel. Any restaurant dinners are not counted towards the common fund. If the common fund is used to pay for these for convenience, the skipper is required to contribute his or her share.
Galley
On boarding day, once you've met the other crew members and are coordinated by the instructor, you'll do your initial shopping at the nearest supermarket, using the shared cash register. Subsequent supplies, especially fresh produce, will be made based on consumption and planned stops.
Fresh Water
On board, fresh water, held in special tanks, is a precious resource and should be used sparingly: every refill inevitably requires a stop at port. Generally, when at anchor, you wash with seawater (sea soap or shampoo is recommended) and use fresh water only for the final rinse. Seawater, where clean, is also used for washing dishes. Small measures, such as not letting the water run while brushing your teeth, will reduce consumption.
Electricity
Cell phones and cameras can only be charged with 12 volts (USB cable required). 220V power will only be available if docked in port and with a cable connected to the dock.
Seasickness
Seasickness has a strong psychological component: the fear of suffering from it, fatigue, and stress contribute to its onset. Normally, within a few hours, the balance centers adapt to the new movements of the boat and everything runs smoothly. Small measures can reduce or eliminate it: eat light, dry, and frequent meals, avoid fatty foods and dairy products; one of the most effective remedies is to take the wheel! If you think you suffer from it, bracelets, chewing gum, or specific medications containing xamamine and scopolamine, available at the pharmacy, may be helpful.
Recommended Equipment
The main rule concerns luggage: it must be a soft bag (not rigid) that can be folded and stowed in your cabin if necessary.
During the day, you generally wear a swimsuit and a T-shirt.
A change of clothes is recommended for cooler temperatures (in strong winds, the perceived temperature drops significantly).
Here's a quick reminder of the essentials: • Swimsuits, shorts, T-shirts, shoes with light-colored rubber soles, comfortable shoes for shore excursions, flip-flops/slippers • Sweatshirts/sweaters, long pants, light raincoat or rain jacket • Sunglasses, peaked cap/bandana • Sunscreen and personal medicine chest pack • Necessary toiletries • 12-volt cell phone charger (USB cable) • Beach towel and hand towels • Bathrobe/microfiber towel (optional but useful) • Fins and masks
FOR THE REST OF YOUR CLOTHING, YOU'RE FREE TO CHANGE YOURSELF... BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU'LL USE HALF OF WHAT YOU BRING!
