THE MAYA TRADITION OF THE DAY OF THE DEAD
The Day of the Dead is one of Mexico's most beloved holidays, with days filled with vibrant colors, smells, flavors, and ancient traditions that extend from October 31 to November 2.
The meaning of these days is very profound and encompasses culture, tradition, community, and celebration. The most interesting thing is that on these dates we do not celebrate absence, but rather the living presence that has transcended eternity by joining in the celebration of the souls that no longer inhabit this earth.

Here on the Yucatan Peninsula, something special is prepared: the “pib,” a tamale that is wrapped in banana leaves and then, as tradition dictates, buried underground for several hours to cook.
In this community, we will have the opportunity to:
At the end of the tour, we will transfer to the hotel to check in and recharge our batteries. Lunch. We will continue with a visit to the colonial city of Valladolid, founded in 1543.
